THE 2008-2009 PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT BROCHURE IS HERE!

The DC Collaborative has MOVED!

After 10 great years of being housed at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the DC Collaborative is proud to announce we have moved to Source, a new development by the Cultural Development Corporation!  Our new home is located at 1835 14th Street, NW.  Source is a vibrant, multi-user performing arts space located in the heart of Washington DC’s 14th Street arts district. Featuring a flexible black box theatre as well as a rehearsal studio, classroom and workstations for small and mid-sized arts organizations, Source offers an affordable, accessible venue for innovation and experimentation and provides visibility and support for area theatre artists. The DC Collaborative is one of four resident organizations at Source.  Other residents include Constellation Theatre Company (www.constellationtheatre.org), The In Series (www.inseries.org), and Washington Improv Theater (WIT) (www.washingtonimprovtheater.com).  To find out more about Source, visit www.sourcedc.org.  We're excited about this new home to call our own!

The DC Collaborative believes that the arts—inclusive of music, visual arts, theater, dance, and literary arts—are central to the education of every student.  A community-based partnership organization, now 80 members strong, the DC Collaborative works to promote quality arts and humanities education for all DC public and chartered public schools for the growth of the whole child.  Working with our partners, the DC Collaborative produces such exemplary programs as Arts for Every Student, Professional Development, and the recently launched Arts Education Initiative.
